How to create an invoice in ReceiptPro
Create your free Starter account
Register or continue with Google when available, then enter your business details. Use your business name and contact information so a customer can recognise who sent the document. Add a logo if you have one.
Add your customer and what you are charging for
Open Invoices and choose the appropriate document. Enter the customer's details, goods or services, quantities and prices. A service can describe work such as a repair, design project or consultation rather than pretending to be stock on a shelf.
Check the figures and payment status
Review each line, any discount, your applicable tax settings and the final amount. Include clear payment instructions and a relevant date. An invoice asking for payment does not mean money has arrived; never describe an outstanding amount as received.
Review before you record or send
Choose the document layout and check names, references and amounts. If you are only proposing a price, save a proforma instead. Recording a sale is a separate action that affects your business records, so confirm the transaction before using it.
Choose an A4 invoice or a compact receipt layout
A4 gives you room for longer service descriptions, customer details and terms. An 80 mm layout is narrower and suits short item lists. Both previews help you see whether the important information fits. Your logo can sit at the left, centre or right without making your business name dominate the page.
Starter lets you create and view documents on screen. Growth and Pro add browser printing; use your browser's Save as PDF option where supported. Those plans also offer WhatsApp text receipt sharing. Test the browser, page size and printer before depending on printed documents during a busy day.
Keep a quote separate from a completed sale
A proforma invoice is useful when a customer wants a price before approving the work. Saving, editing or deleting that quote should not be mistaken for collecting payment. In ReceiptPro, the proforma workflow stays separate until you explicitly record a sale. Growth and Pro are required to record a fully unpaid credit sale. For deposits or part-payments, keep separate, accurate records; that credit workflow does not automatically reconcile instalments.
What is included in the free plan?
Starter is free, requires an account and supports up to 50 catalogue items in one business workspace on your device. It includes on-screen receipts, basic sales records, your business logo and JSON backup exports. ReceiptPro NG attribution remains on Starter documents. Growth adds printing and sharing; Pro adds custom colours, themes, fonts and optional attribution removal. Compare the actual plans before choosing.
Keep a backup outside the device you use for sales. Online sign-in and paid-feature verification need an internet connection, even when supported local selling can work offline after setup.
