Receipt generator with a logo: a clean branding checklist for SMEs
Add a business logo to Nigerian receipts and invoices without crowding the totals. Compare A4 and 80 mm layouts, alignment and available branding tools.
A receipt with your business logo should be easier to recognise, not harder to read. A large image, long slogan and several phone numbers can push the amount or payment status out of view. Treat the logo as a small identifying element and give the transaction details priority.
Choose a legible logo file
Use a clear image such as PNG, JPEG or WebP, with enough contrast to remain recognisable at a small size. Avoid uploading a screenshot that contains large empty margins around the actual logo. Those margins make the useful part look tiny in the document preview.
Check the image against both light and dark parts of your branding. A white logo on a white background may appear to vanish even though the upload succeeded. Set an appropriate logo background and inspect the actual receipt.
Add it to your business profile
In Standard Mode, open Menu on the dashboard and choose Settings, then Business profile. Upload the logo, check the business name and contact details and save the settings. Return to an invoice or receipt preview to see how the logo fits with real-length descriptions.
Do not fill the business-name field with a slogan merely to make the header larger. The customer needs to identify the supplier quickly. Keep a message or thank-you line in the appropriate document text settings.
Match the layout to the job
An A4 invoice can accommodate longer service descriptions, customer information and terms. A compact 80 mm receipt suits a shorter counter transaction. Both need readable quantities, unit prices and totals.
Left, centre and right logo positions are available in the document appearance controls. Try them with the same sample transaction so you compare placement rather than different content. A centred logo can work well on a narrow receipt; a small side logo leaves room for invoice references on A4.
Understand the plan boundaries
Your business logo and its alignment are available on every ReceiptPro plan. Growth and Pro include browser printing and additional document tools. Pro adds custom colours, themes, fonts and optional ReceiptPro attribution removal. A logo upload does not activate paid printing or custom fonts on Starter.
Test the final document
Use a fictional service at ₦12,000 and a second line at ₦3,000 to inspect a ₦15,000 total before any applicable adjustments. Then try a longer business name and description. Confirm that nothing overlaps the amount or payment status.
If you print, test the actual browser and printer rather than relying only on a screen preview. Read the A4 and 80 mm printing guide and review current plans before choosing your output workflow.
